This National Museum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was designed by the Canadian architect, Raymond Moriyama for the building and Lord Cultural Resources for the exhibit.

When I visited, I didn’t see floor plan of the exhibit floor anywhere.  The coloured cubes installed in the entrance of each exhibit corner (they called as ‘hall’ and there were eight exhibit halls all together) and yellow dots with small arrow mark on the floor were only indications for where I should go next.

サウジアラビアのリアド市にある国立博物館は、建築はカナダ人のレイモンド・モリヤマ氏が設計し、展示はカナダのロード・カルチャル・リソース社によって計画されました。

訪問してみると展示室の案内図がどこにも見当たりませんでした。各展示ゾーン（この博物館では「ホール」と呼ばれており、展示は全部で８つのホールに分かれていました）の入り口に色分けされた立方体が置かれ、床に描かれた黄色い点線と矢印が行

き先を案内する仕組みとなっていました。

The traditional teaching method still going strong : McGill University / 伝統的な教育方法がまだ健在：マギル大学

I had a chance to visit McGill University, School of Urban Planning last summer.

The school itself was established in 1821, the oldest University in Canada.  I walk through the building where School of Urban Planning located.  Unfortunately it had been a summer break and didn’t see any student’s activities.  However, one thing caught my eyes was there studio.  The　scene was the old traditional drafting tables along with worktables that scattered half build building models on top were laid in the attic. 

What’s a beautiful view!  I’ve never seen the design school that fit perfectly the image of European art & craft era design studio.

 昨夏、マギル大学の都市計画校を訪問する機会がありました。1821年に創業したカナダで一番古い大学です。マギル大学の都市計画校のある建物の中を歩いてみました。残念ながら夏休み中で、学生の活動を見る事は出来ませんでした。しかし、工房を見た瞬間目を奪われました。

屋根裏部屋に昔ながらのドラフト台と、作りかけの建築模型の乗った作業台が並んでいる光景だったのです。

素晴らしい場所です。

昔のアート＆クラフト時代の工房のイメージに、これほどピッタリのスタジオなんて、今まで見た事がありません。

スゴイ！
