Bronze objects

The bronze objects, bin, can, PET bottle, egg package or plastic tray etc., on the circle table are actually switches for an interactive exhibits.  When visitor touches one of those bronze objects the animation image of the object is projected on the white table, PET bottle for instance.  Then the image slides down to the floor that recycled products are displayed underneath, PET bottle for plastic pellets and roll of paper for egg package for instance.

When touches, animation is coming up

丸いテーブルの上のブロンズ製の瓶、缶、PETボトル、卵ケース、プラスチックトトレイ等は、インタラクティブ展示用の一風変わったスイッチになっています。ブロンズのオブジェに触わると、白いテーブル面にペットボトル等のアニメーションが映し出され、そのままテーブルから床まで移動して行きます。

床下面には、PETボトルからだったらプラスチックペレット、卵ケースからだったらロール紙等、リサイクルされた製品が納められています。

Silk Road and Mountain Range/Desert

There is a big topographic map displayed in the entrance hall of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum.

The map introduces the Silk Road and general knowledge of Xinjiang’s geological characters, mountain ranges and deserts.

Also more maps with LED lightings or topographic relief are used in the museum exhibits for introducing the areas geological characters, routes and/or history of this area. 

Steep mountains and flat desert areas

Because the mountain ranges, deserts and other topographical features played an important role in this region’s history.

新疆ウイグル自治区博物館の入り口ホールには、大きな地形模型が展示されています。

この地形模型でシルクロードや新疆地域の山岳や砂漠等の地理的な特徴を紹介しています。

また展示室内では、地域の地理的特徴や道路や歴史をLED照明や立体地形で表現した地図がいくつも使われています。

山岳や砂漠等の地形的な特徴が、この地域の歴史に大きな影響を与えてきた事を伝えています。

Finding energy wasting spots in a house : Kawasaki Eco Gurashi Miraikan/ 家庭内のエネルギーの無駄使いを発見: かわさきエコ暮らし未来館

Do you see any wasteful spots?

This is an interactive exhibit by using IC card to fix the energy wasting activities inside a house. 

The interior animation of the house is projected from the ceiling and there are few common careless energy wasting mistakes the visitors try to spot, left running water from the tap, kept window open while using air conditioner or half open refrigerator door, etc.

When visitors find such images, just tap those images with the provided IC card for fixing them. When the IC card touches the spot, the card reader embedded inside the wall send a signal to change the animation to shat the tap, close the window and door etc.

これはICカードを使って、家庭内のエネルギーの無駄遣いを直すインタラクティブ展示です。

家の内観は天井から投影されたアニメーションで、蛇口から水が流れていたり、エアコン稼働中に窓が開いていたり、冷蔵庫の扉が半開きだったり等、家庭内で良くあるエネルギーの無駄遣いの様子を映しています。

それらの状況を見つけたら、用意してあるICカードで無駄遣いの場所のイメージにタッチすると、壁に埋め込まれたカードリーダーから信号が送られ、無駄遣いのアニメから、水が止まったり、窓や扉が閉まったり等正しい様子に直ります。

University Museum: Waseda University Theatre Museum （enpaku）/ 大学博物館：早稲田大学演劇博物館（演博）

The Waseda University has a long history since 1882.  The Theatre Museum has established in 1928 for commemorate an English scholar Shoyo Tsubouchi’s 70th birthday and completion of his books ‘Shakespeare Complete Works".  He spent 9 years to write 40 volumes all together.

Nice building and known as an only museum in Japan that specializing in theatre.

Taking pictures inside the exhibit space was prohibited.

早稲田大学は１８８２年からの長い歴史を誇る大学です。この演劇博物館は、英文学者、坪内逍遥の古希と、彼が１９年かけて書いた「シェークスピア全集」全40巻の完成を記念して1928年に開館しました。
