Exhibiting live animals : Abu Dhabi 2015 International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibit /生き物の展示：アブダビ2015 国際狩猟＆乗馬展

Since this trade show is about Hunting, there were several unusual animals on display, hound dogs, birds and falcons, a lot of falcons.

Also, I saw a dozing ‘Yuru Chara’ (human sized cartoon) falcon who might had a busy day.

これはハンティングに関する展示会なので、狩猟犬、鳥類、たくさんの鷹など、変わった動物たちが展示されています。

その中には、居眠りしている「ゆるキャラ」もいました。

One of the most surprising exhibit item of all in this trade show was….yes, guns.

When I think twice, it was obvious to see item like guns in this kind of trade show along with bows and knives, sand buggy, fishing boat and camping gear.

Still, person from a nation which nation is known to have a strict gun control law, seeing this many guns were surprising and uneasy, in fact, I don’t think if I’ve ever seen this many real guns in one time.

この展示会で一番驚いた展示物は…..そう、銃でした。

後から考えたら、この内容の展示会なら、弓矢やナイフ、サンドバギー、釣り用ボートやキャンプ用品と共に並んでいても不思議では無いのでしょうが…。

でも、銃の規制が厳しい国に生まれ育った身としては、こんなに沢山の銃には驚いてしまいます。正直、人生でこれまで1日にこんなに沢山の銃を見たのは初めてだと思います。

Utilizing empty space: Al Wahda Mall / 空き空間の活用：アル ワハドモール

This escalator hall in this shopping mall is located next to the underground parking where tended to be a usually dry and empty space not many people want to stay long.

To make this space a little action, they installed table tennis table and billiard table.  Other similar space has a large floor graphics of billiard and declared as a ‘Sports Lounge’.  This place might have had some billiard table installed.

このショッピングモールの地下駐車場へ繋がるところにあるエレベーター空間は、普通なら人も寄り付かなく、閑散とした場所になりがちです。

こんな空間に活気を与えるべく、ピンポン台とビリヤード台や設置されていました。また、別の類似の空間には、ビリヤードの床グラフィックが貼られていて、スポーツラウンジと書かれていましたから、かつてはここにもビリヤード台があったのかもしれません。

There weren’t anybody at this looks like a workshop space at Environmental Agency – Abu Dhabi booth when I visited.

They are introducing the ‘Scimitar-Honed Oryx Reintroduction’ program at this supposed to be a workshop space with paneled anecdotes and quizzes in the trunk shape boxes the visitor could freely access.

Too bad, I didn’t have chance to see the operating this program!

残念ながらアブダビ2015 国際狩猟＆乗馬展を見に行った時には、このアブダビ環境庁のブースのワークショップらしき空間には誰もいませんでした。

このワークショップ風の空間で、偶蹄類のシミター・ツノ・オリックスの繁殖プログラムについての紹介をするため、誰でも手に取れるようにカバン形状の箱に入れたパネル状の詳細情報やクイズなどで情報を提供しています。

訪問した時間帯ではワークショップをしていなかったのが残念です。
