Companie's chronology table: Nikon Museum / 企業年表：ニコン ミュージアム

A rounded wall facing the entrance space of the museum is used to display a Nikon’s company history for past 100 years since they established in 1917.

Each topic was layout in a white circle against matte black ground as if looking through lenses.

展示のエントランス空間に面した曲面壁には、1917年の創業以来100年にわたるニコンの企業の歴史が展示されています。

個々のトピックはまるでレンズを思わせるような白円の中に記され、つや消し黒色を背景にレイアウトされています。

Building models 1: Oscar Niemeyer The man Who Built Brasilia / 建築模型 １：オスカーニューマイヤー ブラジルの世界遺産をつくった男 展

In this temporary exhibit was similar as any other big name architect exhibit, it was full of building models.

The type of models were more like the designer model which have ‘loose’ feeling which looked like build by the architect team while working on the building design.

However, I didn’t know the fact in this case.

この企画展には他の建築家の展示会と同じように、数多くの建築模型が展示されていました。

模型のスタイルも建築チームが設計途中で製作したような少しラフな感じの模型でした。

これらの模型が実際にデザイン段階で作られたものかどうかは不明ですが…

There are large scale building detailes were on display, roof structure of the Cathedral of Brasilia and . The Palácio da Alvorada.

Both were well build in the details.  Beautiful and Impressed!

建築のでティールの大型模型も展示されていました。

ブラジリアの大聖堂の屋根の構造と、アウヴォラーダ宮の模型です。

細部も美しく作られていて、素晴らしい！

This temporary exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo was about a masters remain in the modern architectural history, Oscar Niemeyer.

The exhibit was mostly displaying the buildings of scale models in various scales, drawings, furniture and videos.  Some were not allowed to take pictures, but thanks to the organizer, free to took pictures on most of the works displayd.

This is a large scale park, Parque do Ibirapuera, designed by Niemeyer.  The model was so big, it filled the large open ceiling space and best of all, allowed to walk around on the model landscape.

この東京現代美術館で開催された企画展は、近代建築史に残る巨匠、オスカー　ニューマイヤーの展覧会です。

展示では、様々なスケールの模型、家具、図面やビデオが並べられていました。幾つかの資料は写真を撮ることが禁止されていましたが、主宰者の好意で多くは写真撮影が許可されていました。

この大型模型はイビラブエラ公園の模型で、吹き抜け大空間いっぱいに広がっていました。素晴らしかったのは、この模型のランドスケーブ部分は自由に歩くことができたことです。

This big block of clear glass is the material for optical lenses Nikon made.

The shining massive glass welcomes the museum visitors who just stepped into the dirk exhibit space.

I’ve never seen such a huge block of expensive high quality optical glass… 

The light level of this exhibit space was kept low, that is appropriate for the optical equipment manufacture to make the presence of light more spriciate way.

この大きく透明なガラスの塊は、光学機器会社のニコンのレンズの材料です。展示室に足を踏み入れるとすぐ、この輝く巨大なガラスが来館者を出迎えます。

高価で高品質な光学用ガラスのこんなに大きな塊を見たのは初めてです。

この展示室の照度は光学機器の会社らしくこだわったのでしょうか、あたかも光の存在を実感させるように低く抑えられていました。
