Vehicle gauge and building gauge

There is a section of the life sized shield tunneling displayed in one corner, combined with the descriptions of the structure, facilities and mechanical/electrical systems on the tunnel track.

Also, vehicle gauge and building gauge, use as the base for finding the safe distance and allowable margins which needed to designing the tunnels and other railroad facilities, are indicated by yellow and blue painted steel frame.

展示室の一角にシールド工法のトンネルの実物大断面が展示され、構造や設備、機械や電気の仕組み等が解説されています。

また、トンネルやその他の鉄道施設を設計するときに必要な、安全値を含んだ距離を決める時の基準となる、車両定規や建築定規が黄色と青に塗られた鉄枠で示されています。

実物大で見ると迫力のあるものですね。
