This Sony’s corporate museum shows their
history and products. As anybody expect,
there are number of products which changed the horizon of the electric devices,
Japan’s first tape recorder, transistor radio, Trinitron colour TV and Walkman,
etc. are on display.
This Chronicle shows the actual products
and picture of historical events. The structure of the Chronicle is consisted with horizontal metal bars and back lit wall.
The clean looking metal bar holds the acrylic case for the product and photographs. The video display is installed in the base fixed on the floor.
Just before this Chronicle starts, the video
footage of the founder’s message is played as a start of the whole exhibit.
To visit the museum, the pre-registration
is necessary.

このソニー歴史資料館は、ソニーの歴史と製品を見せてくれます。誰もが期待するように、日本発のテープレコーダー、トランジスタラジオ、トリニトロン・カラーテレビ、ウォークマン等、新しい家電の世界を開拓したソニーの製品が展示されています。
この年表は、ソニーの実物製品とともに、会社の出来事等を写真を使って紹介しています。年表の構造は、水平に流した金属バーと背面照明を施した壁面で構成されています。すっきりした印象を与える金属バーには、製品を入れたアクリルケースや、写真パネルを固定できるようになっています。映像モニターは床固定の什器に組み込まれています。
この年表の冒頭部分には、創業者のメッセージを伝える映像を見せるコーナーになっていて、展示室全体の導入としています。
