A piece of art work that created by chance: Toranomon Station/ 偶然出現した芸術作品：虎ノ門駅

This abstract art work on the tile wall at the Toranomon subway station in downtown Tokyo.  The colourful zig zag line was created by the musking tape with numbers and short word were written various places on the tape.

I asked the station attendant for if they were any art piece or not.  Unfortunately, he told me the tiles on the wall were started to peeling off and repair people put those masking tapes for indicating the areas needed to repair.

Well…still, it look very much art for me.

虎ノ門駅構内のタイル壁面には、マスキングテープでカラフルなジグザグ模様が描かれ、所々に番号や文字が記入されています。駅員さんに芸術作品みたいなこのテープの事を聞いてみたところ、壁面のタイルが剥離し始めているので、補修用に修理業者の方が補修が必要な部分に目印として貼ったテープだそうです。

メンテの目印だったとは残念ですが、十分作品的だと思いませんか？
