Exhibit on the street: Isetan Department Store, Shinjuku / 街角の展示：伊勢丹新宿店

There was an interesting store front/showcase display during the Christmas season at Isetan Department Store at Shinjuku last year.

The main theme was ‘Yoik’, the Lapp people’s folk music about arctic animals, rain deer, bear and awl.

You could listen the folk music when access the special web site.

The store front show windows are decorated with separate stories for different animals and granite building wall was covered with large print out of the rain deer illustrations, cut out sheets were pasted directly on the granite surface.

I kind of like this type of quality.

Web Access for listening the folk music

去年のクリスマスの新宿伊勢丹でのディスプレーは面白いものでした。

テーマは、トナカイや熊、ふくろうなどの北極圏に住む動物たちを唄ったラップ人の民族音楽をテーマにしていました。

ネットでアクセスすると、その民族音楽を聞く事ができました。

ショーウインドゥには、それぞれの動物が主人公としてディスプレーされ、御影石の外壁には拡大出力されたトナカイのイラストが貼られていました。

いい感じで好きなスタイルです。
