The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and
Tourism is trying hard to promote the hydroelectric power dams and distribute
‘Dam card’ which able to obtain only when you visit the dam since 2009
Similar to the baseball card, dam card shows a picture of
the dam in front and detailed specifications, location, name of river, type of
dam and gates, size and reservoir capacity and brief technical information etc.
Some friends of mine are started to collect them like
nuts.

国土交通省は水力発電のダムを知ってもらう為に、2009年よりダムに訪れないと入手できない「ダムカード」を配布しています。ベースボールカードのように、表面にはダムの写真、裏面には細かな仕様、住所、河川名、ダムやゲートの種類、大きさや貯水量、技術的な概要等を記しています。
収集にハマってしまった友人も何人かいます。
