Exhibit in the public space: Cosmic Street, Shinjyuku / 街の中の展示：コズミック通り、新宿区

There were used to be Owari clan official residents in Edo (1603 to 1868) era in this street location.  The official residents had a large garden, which represents the scenery from Tokaido, the ancient road from Tokyo to Kyoto.  The area became a wide open field with some tall trees and later an elementary school had been build.  There are number of street furniture, painting tiles, and sculptures representing the history of this area.

このあたりには尾張藩の藩邸があり、その屋敷には東海道を模した庭があったとの事です。その後、戸山が原として広大な雑木林となり、後に小学校が建てられました。この通りには、土地の歴史を題材にしたストリートファニチャーやタイル絵、彫刻等が配されています。
