The Memorial Drive along the Bow River in
Calgary has lined trees as same number as Canadian soldiers who lost
their lives during WWI for their remembrance. In recent year, the city developed a new war monument,
Poppy Plaza.
The monument’s design is impressive with its
design and choice of the materials. The design looks
like a battle ship with unfinished rusted steel and wood deck as the material.
