Fabulous Faberge: Montreal Museum of Fine Arts 1 / 華麗なファバージュ展1：モントリオール美術館

I am not so crazy about eggshell; however, I really impressed the art/craft pieces they exhibited.  Also, I truly enjoyed their exhibition design.

Look at the display base; it’s neither square nor staying in the Plexiglas case.  Usually, the display base is square and placed in the center of the case.  However, the base had given more attitude, multi edged polygon and comes out from the case in this exhibit.　The display table isn't square either.

This radical display case design somehow well matched with the super detailed fine crafts from Old Russian Empire.

自分は卵の殻にはあまり興味は無かったのですが、展示されていた美術工作品には本当に感動しました。さらに、展示のデザインも素晴らしいと思いました。

演示台を見て下さい。四角くも無く、アクリルケースの中央にも置いていません。普通、演示台は四角くてアクリケースの中央に設置されているものですが、この展示では多角形の演示台を使い、しかもアクリケースから飛び出してきています。展示テーブルも四角くありません。

とても斬新な展示ケースですが、旧ロシア帝国の非常に精密な美術工芸作品を展示するのには、このデザインは妙に合っていると思いました。
