A traditional Japanese candy shop called
Kameya-Eisen has been making confection from sweet potato for over a century in
Kawagoe, Saitama. The upper floor of
their sweet shop is converted to an exhibit space where displays their
historical tools, utensils, packages and account books, etc.
There is no fancy multimedia types of
exhibit, just simply displayed their historical objects in the glass case. I would say that's more than good enough for the effort by an
private sector who is willing to share the history of local trade to the community.
