New area guide system: Tokyo Ubiquitous Project, Ginza /新しい地域ガイドシステム：東京ユビキタス計画

This is an experimental area guide project for visitors, mainly from oversea, introducing the areas by rental smartphone, carried by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

When the visitor scan the ‘UCORD’ attached on the street light by rented smartphone, it connects to the local information site ‘kokosil Ginza’ site and access the information on stores, tourist spot and events in multiple languages.  It also gives tour guidance if the visitor is interested in.

これは東京都と国土交通省が共同で行っている、貸スマートフォンで地域情報を提供する、主に外国人旅行者向けの実験的な地域ガイドシステムの計画です。

貸スマートフォンで街頭に付けられた「UCORD」をスキャンすると、地域情報サイト「ココシル銀座」につながり、お店や観光スポット、地域イベントなどの情報に他言語でアクセスできます。

興味のある観光客には、観光案内としても使ってもらえます。
