Using floor as a part of exhibit: The National Museum of Riyadh / 床を使った展示：リヤド国立博物館

This museum building was designed by Canadian architect firm, Moriyama & Teshima Architect who also designed Canadian Embassy building in Aoyama, Tokyo.

The museum opened in 1999 thus still look new in most of the exhibits.

Since it was a well funded ‘National’ project, there are many elaborate exhibit pieces all over, multimedia, full scale recreated town corner, replica artifact or well detailed building models, etc.

Also, they utilized all exhibit space, include floor surface like those examples.

この博物館の建物は青山にある在日カナダ大使館も手がけた、カナダの建築家のモリヤマ＆テシマが設計をしました。

1999年に開館したものなので、まだ中の展示は新しさを失ってません。展示はマルチメディア、情景再現、複製資料や詳細な建築模型など、なかなか手の込んだものが多くさすがは「国立」の博物館です。

この博物館でも、展示空間の床面を展示の一部として有効に使っていました。
