Exhibit in a public place: Iidabashi / 公共の場の展示：飯田橋

This old area map was installed by the Local Lion’s Club for 10^th anniversary of their establishment.

The map is from Edo era, showing property of the neighborhood mostly samurai residents, big and small.

Since Iidabashi area was just out skirt of the Shogun’s Edo castle, surrounding neighbors were all trusted samurai families.

この古地図は地元のライオンズクラブが設立10周年を記念して掲示したものです。江戸時代の地図で、この地域に住んでいたのは大小を含め、ほとんどが武家だったことがわかります。

飯田橋地域は江戸城に隣接する場所ですので、信頼できる直参の武家が住んでいた場所なのでしょう。

飯田橋、東京メトロ
