Common museum exhibit trick: Seto Gura Museum/ 博物館でよくある展示手法：瀬戸蔵

　

Beyond yellow line is mirrored refraction

The Seto Gura Museum is located in the 2^nd and 3^rd floor in the building that combined with city office, tourist centre, shops, restaurant, auditorium and museum.

The first exhibit welcome the visitors is this train, Meitetsu Seto Line.

They brought up real train car to up stairs.  Probably by the number of constraints, limited exhibit space, weight capacity on the floor, cost etc.  The car body was cut in half and installed a mirror wall inside the train.

When the visitor comes inside, the interior is look like as full car length.

Using one end inside wall of the car for mirror or projection is common trick for exhibiting train or bus in museums.

瀬戸蔵ミュージアムは市役所、観光案内所、ショップ、レストラン、市民ホールと合築された建物の２階と3階にあります。

入館してすぐに来館者を迎えるのがこの名鉄瀬戸線の車両です。展示空間や床加重、製作費等の多分幾つもの制約のせいでしょうが、この車両は２つに切断されて内部に鏡の壁が施工されていました。

内部に入るとまるで車両1両分の長さがあるように感じます。

内装の壁面を鏡や映像スクリーンにする事は、博物館で鉄道車両やバス等を展示する時によく使われる技法です。
