3D scanner: National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) / ３Dスキャナー：日本科学未来館

This is basically a 3D scanner, projecting the visitor's sitting images onto the wall behind.

The red circular bench keeps rotating slowly and continuously, the visitor could just sit on to the empty space.

The scanning device is installed on the wall and its continuously takes the visitor's image when the visitor  on the rotating red bench comes around to the scanning spot.

Then the scanned visitor's image is projected on the back wall like picture scroll which the visitors could see themselves while they are on the bench.

The fun part is, if one move forward, back worth, stand up or down during scanning, the visitor could see deformed him/herself.

この展示は基本的に、来館者の座った姿を背面の壁に投影する３Dスキャナーです。
まず、ゆっくり回り続けていている赤い丸形ベンチの空いた所に座ります。

そして壁に取り付けられたスキャナーが、回っているベンチに座っている来館者のイメージを撮り続けます。

すると壁にはスキャンされた来館者の姿が絵巻物のように映し出され、ベンチに座りながら壁に映った自分の姿を見る事が出来ます。

面白いイタズラとして、スキャナーの場所で体を動かすと自分の姿が変形して映ります。
