Art in the public space: 10th Ohi Chozaemon / 公共の場のアート：十代大樋長左衛門

Born in pottery master family that passed on to generations, he had officially inherited the prestigious master’s name, Ohi Chozaemon as the 10^th successor.  He is respected as the greatest ceramic artist in Today’s Kanazawa.

This a large ceramic mural, ‘Hitsuki no Kagayaki (The Sun Moon-out of Glitter)’, he produced for the new Kanazawa station building and installed the hallway called ‘Symbol road’ connecting between East and West plaza.

歴代窯元の家に生まれ、家名を引き継いだ十代大樋長左衛門は、現在の金沢を代表する陶芸作家です。

この大きな陶壁画「日月の煌き」は新しい金沢駅開業に合わせて創られ、東広場と西広場をつなぐ「シンボルロード」に設置されています。
