The sign system for people in special needs: Hokuriku Shinkansen / 体の不自由な方向けのサインシステム: 北陸新幹線

This is a tactile map for visually challenged people installed in the wall of the Hokuriku Shinkansen (bullet train).  The map indicates the location of the washrooms, washbasin and train seats.

Geospatial Information Authority of Japan has set up a site for tactile map examples.

これは北陸新幹線車内壁面に取り付けられている、視覚障害者用の触地図です。地図には、トイレ、洗面台、客席の位置が示されています。
