Original point of Shinjuku : Shinjuku 3 Chome / 新宿元標：新宿三丁目

There is a sign indicating this spot is an original point of Shinjuku on the cross section between Meiji-dori (street) and Shinjyuku-dori.  It’s informing this section used to be a cross point of the road goes to Koshu (Central Japan) and Oume (Pacific area).

The graphics on the pedestrian street has an old map of mid Edo, 17^th. Century, period.
